Aylesbury Muslim Funeral Association

About us
During the 1970’s Aylesbury residents Lal Khan, Mohammed Yasin, Abdul Rehman and Mohammed Hanif recognised a need in the Aylesbury Muslim community. Following a death, the funds required to bury a loved one were not always immediately available, especially after an unexpected death. In order to ease this burden on families, they together formed the Aylesbury Muslim Funeral Association (AFMA).
May Allah grant the original founders immense reward for their foresight, dedication and efforts in this initiative.
Today AMFA has over 400 members and continues to be run by a voluntary executive team. Membership with AMFA means when a members death occurs the basic funds required for their Islamic burial are made available* – lessening the difficulties at such a distressing time. A membership fee and annual contributions keep funds available, however due to the number of deaths in a year being unpredictable, AMFA welcomes donations and fundraisers.
